Directions

From Asheville:  (Print)

  • Interstate 26 East to exit 40.  Route 280 West, WNC Agriculture Center, Airport
  • Travel West on Route 280 for 15.8 miles until you enter the unincorporated town of Pisgah Forest, NC
  • Turn left onto route 64, Hendersonville Rd. (traffic light at Eckerd Drug on left)
  • Travel East on route 64, Hendersonville Rd. for 2.4 miles
  • Turn left onto Lyday Loop. (this road intersects route 64 twice – this should be the first one which is across from Enon Rd.)
  • Travel .4 miles
  • Turn left onto Lyday Creek Road
  • Travel 1.3 miles until a sign that reads “Road Ends in 500 Feet”
  • Bear right onto Lazy Branch Rd. – a gravel road just past our mailbox (74)
  • After short curve, bear right again onto gravel drive going up the mountain at sign that reads “The Karlsson’s at Boulder Ridge”
  • Boulder Ridge is on the top of the mountain

From the Asheville Airport:  (Print)

  • Travel West on route 64, Brevard Rd. for approximately 16 miles and pass the quarry at Penrose.
  • Turn right onto the second Lyday Loop. (this road intersects route 64 twice – this should be the second one which is across from Enon Rd.)
  • Travel .4 miles
  • Turn left onto Lyday Creek Road
  • Travel 1.3 miles until a sign that reads “Road Ends in 500 Feet”
  • Bear right onto Lazy Branch Rd. – a gravel road just past our mailbox (74)

  • Interstate 26 West to exit 49B Route 64 Hendersonville
  • Travel West on route 64 (Brevard Rd.) through Hendersonville for 17 miles and pass quarry at Penrose

  • Travel .4 miles
  • Turn left onto Lyday Creek Road
  • Travel 1.3 miles until a sign that reads “Road Ends in 500 Feet”

  • Take exit 10B to merge onto US-74 W  toward Shelby (then go about 55 mi.)
  • Take the exit onto I-26 W/US-74 W
  • Travel on I-26 West to exit 49B Route 64 Hendersonville
